Hello there! I'm Mrs. Kaitlin, and I'm so happy you're here!

I’m a wife, mom, lifelong learner, creative, and entrepreneur with a genuine passion for child development and working with families. Becoming a mother has been my greatest role, but it didn’t replace the part of me that has always loved caring for children, creating memorable experiences, and building something of my own. I love learning, creating, teaching, and finding new ways to support little ones and their families, and Little Hearts has become a way for all of those pieces of me to come together. Becoming a mother myself has only deepened my passion for creating a calm, safe, and fun environment where little ones feel comfortable being themselves, are excited to learn, and feel supported as they grow.

I bring more than 17 years of childcare experience working with children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, school-age children, multiples, and children with disabilities and medical needs. My background spans nannying, household management, homeschool support, and home childcare. I’m CPR, First Aid & AED certified and also serve as a Guardian ad Litem here in Buncombe County. My education in paralegal studies, public safety, and child and family advocacy adds another layer to the experience and perspective I bring to the families and children I work with.

My Philosophy

I believe childhood should feel like childhood. Little ones learn best when they feel safe, connected, curious, and free to explore the world around them. I value structure and consistency, but I don’t believe every minute of a child’s day needs to be scheduled or every experience turned into a lesson. There’s so much learning happening naturally through play, conversation, creativity, independence, friendships, and even a little boredom. My goal is to meet each child where they are, follow their individual interests and needs, and create an environment where they feel known, encouraged, and excited to grow.

Doing What I Love, Wherever Life Takes us

The home preschool experience I’m nurturing is intentionally seasonal because our family’s life looks a little different! My husband’s career in professional baseball takes us to different places throughout the year, and keeping our family together is something I’ll always prioritize. Rather than choosing between that and work I genuinely love, I created the Little Hearts structure to grow alongside our life. Each season has clear beginning and end dates, and if another season follows, current families will receive advance notice and first priority to continue with us.
